It's a ....

I am sorry to keep some of you waiting so long! I had to pick up the girls, run to Michaels', grab some lunch, get the girls to bed, make some phone calls....

Okay, you ready?

First - Andy thought girl, Sophia thought boy. I tried not to think about it because I didn't want to be disappointed!

I had a dream two nights ago that it was a girl.

But also had always imagined this baby to be a boy.

So I didn't have any clue what to think!

Enough of the suspense, right???

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!! And yes, we do have the pictures to prove it!

Holy cow! What do I do with a boy???? Everything I have is pink and frilly and full of princesses!

Andy's in total shock and disbelief. It'll take him a few days to process this!

We're both so very excited though!

And most importantly - everything is healthy and right on schedule - thank you Jesus!

So...if you have a boy - I would welcome all the advice and suggestions you have to offer because this is a whole new world for us!!!

Congratulations Katie, that's awesome! My boy is very curious and has his own way to do everything! He thinks outside of the box...My only advice is to become very proficient at changing diapers, you need to be faster with boys.

I think you'd better rename your blog :) Yay! Another playmate for Jack! So many boys this year.

You're going to think you've died and gone to heaven if you have the experience I do...meaning boys are SO MUCH EASIER!

And I echo what Danielle said about the diaper thing....Not that I speak from experience, of course....

CONGRATS!

That is great news, Katie! Thanks for letting us know.

Boys...now that is something I know! With three boys running around, the most common phrases heard in our house are...
(1)"Stop jumping and climbing...
our house is not a jungle gym... (from mom)
(2)"Mom, watch this...!" followed by some daring and dangerous maneuver (from the boys)

It's a blast...although I could use an extra dose of estrogen around here! Congratulations to you and your family!

Congratulations!! For me, my daughter is MUCH easier than my son. But I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the child's personality and temperament. My daughter's pretty obedient. My son...well, he has issues in that area.

I recently wrote a post about a 48-hour period in my son's life and the fun adventures he had (one of which included taking his sister's doll for a swim in the toilet).

Boys are a lot of fun, I would just suggest you sell all your furniture because it will be scribbled on, climbed on and pretty much messed up.

Oh Kristen, don't you worry. I already have a boy - a TOM-boy named Eva. My furniture and walls have already been scribbled on, chewed on, and carved into. You know - you've heard the stories. It can't get much worse - I hope!

Yea! A boy! You're gonna love having a son Katie. They are so sweet. Both of my boys are so loving and want to try to protect me...it is so sweet. They are TOTALLY different than girls though, you'll see. Get ready to learn every single kind of truck and dinosaur...I became an expert. However, the Thomas the trains were my favorite toy that the boys had.

By the way, thanks for stopping by my blog. Was that crazy or what??? Trust me I normally have 5 or 10 comments.

I wanted to tell you (but never have the chance for more than hi at church) that Andy saw my Mother in Law eariler in the Summer when she was having a dental emergency...I mean serious pain...and she raved about him. Not only did he help her, he was very nice to her. So please tell him thanks.

Hi Katie -- you're totally right. You already have a "boy" so you should do just fine with this one. :-) Eva has been wonderful training for a real boy.

On a totally different note, is your husband the dentist that Joe Duke had in his panel on work? That was either my first or second visit to LifePoint. My dad and brother-in-law are dentists so I figured this must be a good church if they have a dentist on stage (if that is indeed him!).
