Park Quest: Gambrill State Park

The forecast for this day was a cool 70 degrees, so we thought it would be the perfect day to explore some places we'd never been and complete another Park Quest.  First was Gambrill State Park. The hike was short and fun for the kids.  There was an amazing overlook...

A natural playground...with lots of natural gnats....

A fun statue (representative of the men who helped build the park)....

and the dreadful letterboxes that made everyone cry!  Somehow we missed the part where you were supposed to find the combination to open them and so we only were able to open a few. 

After that it was lunch and on to Fort Frederick State Park!
