OBX Phase 1

On our way to Elizabeth City, NC!! All the girls knew is that we had a l-o-n-g trip ahead of us, and it wasn't to the beach. Probably why they look so thrilled in this picture.
Our hotel room was really nice and the beds were really comfy!
Finally conked out at 9:30 pm!
Trying to keep them occupied during a torrential tropical rainstorm...
After a couple hours swimming in the indoor pool (a godsend), we played some games, ate a gourmet (Burger King) lunch, and all took a nap. The hotel graciously let us check out late that day.
By the time we arrived in the Outer Banks at 3pm, the skies were clearing and the sun poked through! The girls were SO excited to see the ocean.

We even got to fly kites after dinner that night - their first time! Eva kept saying "Elmo Kite!!!"
