Ever since the dorm days of college, I have slept with a fan on at night. Background noise, white noise, whatever you want to call it...it works for me.
We've had the same fan since we got married, so that means...let me do the math...our fan is going on 9 years old. And in it's old age has begun this horribly annoying clicking sound just when you've gotten all comfy and cozy and start drifting off into dreamland.
And so I've taken to wearing earplugs to bed. It's pretty bad when you have to wear earplugs to drown out your fan....
